Cold Black Tea for Sunburns

Sunburn Home Remedy

I cannot find our Aloe Vera. God help me.

This sunburn is hurting like crazy, and I cannot find our bottle of Aloe Vera. We are still in the middle of unpacking after moving and it should be in one of the boxes, but I am not sure which one -_-.

Today I will be trying out a home remedy, that is suppose to help get rid of the stinging from a sunburn.(I hope)

 1. Apply tea after it has cooled to skin, with a clean cloth. Black tea is suppose to help draw heat from the sunburn, and basically get rid of the sting.

I boiled water, out the tea bag in, and put it in the fridge to cool quicker. I will dip the wash cloth into the cold tea and place it on my sunburns.

So now that my black tea is cooled off, after being in the fridge for an hour(to make it extra cold) I poured the tea into one of my daughters bowls, and grabbed a face cloth.
I dipped the face cloth into the tea, let it soak up pretty good, and squeezed out a good amount of the extra. I then dabbed it(LIGHTLY) onto my sunburn.
My left arm and shoulder were the worst, so I made sure to put a little extra onto that side.

I can honestly say, I may still be as red as a lobster, but the cold black tea actually took away a good amount of the stinging!
I am actually surprised, as I didn't think it would really help, other than it being cold.
The sting is still there, but compared to how it was, I find it did do something to help!(yay!)

I will probably apply it a couple of more times today, just to keep it from stinging, unless my wonderful hubby or mother bring me Aloe Vera.

I will also apply soother moisturizer to help sooth it farther, but overall, if you find yourself with a sunburn, and no Aloe Vera, but you have tea bags, try this home remedy out!
